Aboard the ship, Globe iFusion utilizes the Globe i250. The Globe i250. is a sophisticated prepaid and postpaid voice and data communications router. The system unifies all the capabilities of a FleetBroadband 250 with GSM service, IP & acceleration, firewall security and remote access capabilities. It can also serve as a least cost routing gateway to other external communications systems such as VSAT, Iridium OpenPort and WiFi.

Control of Globe iFusion is handled through the shoreside Globe iPortal. Globe iPortal provides a simple web-based interface for shoreside IT staff to configure the Globe i250, setup user accounts and permissions, control the firewall, and monitor the system’s activity and usage.
